Britain's Steven Cousins is still in with a chance of a medal at the World Figure Skating Championships in Alberta, Edmonton after finishing the short programme in fifth place. The men's final free skate, worth two-thirds of the overall score, takes place tonight.

Alan Weeks, 72, the BBC's respected commentator on the sport since 1951, will retire after the World Figure Skating Championships, which end on Sunday.
