Letter: Just not cricket
Sir: With the recent revelation from Jonathan Ross that all polar bears are left-handed (the Sun, 17 June), would it not make sense to draft at least two into the England cricket team in time for the third Test? They could bat at No 3 and No 5, bowl slow left-armers without damaging the pitch, and the saving in whites would be colossal. Whether they could withstand a full day's fielding in a motorway-melting heatwave is another matter entirely.
Yours faithfully,
ANDREW VAUGHAN
