Stan Collymore may do well to keep a wary eye on 21-year-old Byfield, a Birmingham-born striker who scored 33 goals for Villa's youth team in 1995 and is desperate to make the transition to senior football. He impressed on his debut against Leeds over Christmas, when Collymore had flu, and is likely to win more opportunities.
