Every race winner and results from the 2019 Isle of Man TT

The 2019 Isle of Man TT will see the fastest races in the world compete once again around the 37-mile road course over the next fortnight.

All eyes will be on the existing lap record, which was shattered last year by Peter Hickman in one of the closest races the TT has ever seen as he beat rival Dean Harrison to victory in the Senior TT with an incredible final lap average of 135.452mph.

The finale capped the fastest ever TT week as the 135mph barrier was broken for the first time, and both Hickman and Harrison return this year to compete with the likes of Michael Dunlop, Conor Cummins and the fit-again duo of Ian Hutchinson and John McGuinness.

The fortnight was due to begin with a week’s worth of practice as riders tinker to find the right set-up across a host of bikes – as they are not confined to one category you will see them across the superbike, supersport and superstock categories as well as the lightweight and TT Zero classes – before the race action begins on the middle Saturday. But organisers have had to contend with atrocious conditions throughout the week, resulting in only Sunday and Tuesday being able to go ahead with all eight other qualifying sessions cancelled.

As a result, racing was been postponed by two days to Monday 3 June, in order to allow riders the much-needed track time before going racing.

With all nine planned races completed, there were early wins for Peter Hickman, Lee Johnston and the Birchall brothers Ben and Tom. Tuesday saw racing called off completely, as was Wednesday’s day session, but five races on Thursday saw Hickman double up along with the Birchalls, while Michael Dunlop and Michael Rutter also registered victories. But finally, it was Dean Harrison who took the big one by winning the Senior TT on Friday.
