Note: Kimi Raikkonen has a five-place grid penalty due to an unscheduled gearbox change and will start 11th.
Lap 15: Sainz also pits with Alonso coming in for inters too. There's not much difference at the moment between the wet tyre and the inter, so could the front runners be holding out for dry conditions?
Lap 16: Hamilton passes Rosberg for second! The Briton is released on the run out of turn one and immediately gaps the championship leader. That looked like a team decision that one.
Lap 17: Vettel is having a go at Massa, but his first attempt fails as he straight lines the chicane. Hulkenberg then nearly runs into the back of Vettel, with Alonso also in close company. Meanwhile Hamilton has started catching Ricciardo.
Lap 19: So the top six are on wets, with the rest of the field on inters. The gap at the front is just under 13 secons, and Ricciardo is doing well to maintain the lead he built ever so rapidly.
Lap 20: Bottas tries to pass Wehrlein into the chicane but is going too fast and straight lines the chicane. He passes the Manor unfairly, and it gets worse for Bottas as Verstappen passes Wehrlein. The Williams lets both of them through, but it means he'll avoid a penalty.
Lap 21: Mercedes are pitting Rosberg for inters. It's a slow stop as the front right was delayed on. It's odd that they're pitting Rosberg first given he was trailing Hamilton, but in the wet the undercut doesn't work as well as normal conditions.
Lap 22: Magnussen and Kvyat are off! The pair are in the barrier at the Rascasse Hairpin, and wile Magnussen gets going, Kvyat appears to have a lot more damage. Replays show Kvyat stuffed his Toro Rosso up the inside of the Renault where there wasn't a gap, and that one is the Russian's fault. He manages to get going again and is in the pits.
Lap 22: Sainz pits and comes out just behin Rosberg, with the championship leader heading a pack of Perez, Vettel, Hulkenberg and Sainz - who loses out after shuffling back down the field.
Lap 49: It's calmed down a but now, but the man still on the move is Perez. Meanwhile, Nasr gets told to let Ericsson through, and he firmly rejects it despite the call "coming from the top". Ericsson jokes "his radio must be broken".
Lap 50: Disaster for Sauber and it's the third Virtual Safety Car! Ericsson decides to take matters into his own hands and launches his car up the inside of Nasr as Rascasse where there isn't room. He takes the pair of them out and wrecks both their front wings. They get going but there's carbon fibre everywhere. Bottas also pits for new tyres, and the VSC is over after just a lap.
