The flanker Philippe Benetton will miss France's Five Nations match against Wales on 15 February after breaking his jaw in a club match. Benetton, who also lost a tooth, will be out of action for four to six weeks.

David Rees, the Cross Keys player-coach who won a Wales B cap in 1988 against France, has retired from playing after two major knee operations.

Saracens have appointed Trevor Garwood, 29, as their marketing and commercial director. He was formerly Newcastle United FC's marketing manager.
