The 4x400m women’s relay final will be held on Saturday 20 August 2016.

What time will it be on?

The race will start at around 2.00am Sunday 21 August BST (10.00pm local time in Rio).

Where can I watch it live?

BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Four, the BBC red button and the BBC Sport website will have live coverage of all events at Rio 2016.

Who are the contenders?

Allyson Felix and Francena McCorory from the 2012 London Games’ gold medal-winning US team will return, hoping to take victory once again.

British Rowing has turned its attention to the eight as the lead boat this year in order to qualify for the Olympic Games. However, the coxless four will once more be the No 1 boat for Team GB in Rio. The make-up of the boat is still unknown but Britain will be bidding to achieve a fifth straight win in the event at the Games.
