Racing: Eddery returns at Deauville

PAT EDDERY returns to the saddle in France today, having been on the sidelines suffering from dehydration this week. The champion jockey rides the Roger Charlton-trained Yenda, a half-sister to the Derby winner Quest for Fame, in the Prix de Thiberville over an extended mile and a half at Deauville. Yenda, who faces 10 rivals, looked a useful prospect when spreadeagling her field over a mile and a half at Kempton on 6 July.
