ASCOT

1.25: This season's form horse Art Prince may be foiled by FRAZER ISLAND who showed signs of a resurgence in the Grand National before coming to grief at Becher's second time. He should have improved a lot for his reappearance.

2.00: Ballysicyos will probably be a warm order back at 3m, but he faces a rival of real promise in YEOMAN SAILOR.

2.35: Yesterday's Irish challenge came to nothing, but NICHOLLS CROSS can provide Edward O'Grady and Norman Williamson with handsome compensation. The 7yo has plenty of fast-ground form and looked sure to be concerned in the finish until he unseated four out on his hat-trick bid at Naas.

CATTERICK

2.10: GLEMOT stands out on his wide-margin win at Huntingdon 11 days ago and still looks on a most attractive mark.

3.10: The best of these over hurdles, MAJOR SPONSOR can make amends for his disappointing debut over fences at Perth. Trainer George Moore blames that performance on the bottomless ground. Very little has been seen of Monarch's Pursuit recently, but he remains a horse of potential.

3.40: BORN TO PLEASE was not disgraced when a 21/2-length runner-up to the useful Royale Angela last time and meets nothing of that calibre today.

HUNTINGDON

2.25: APRIL ALLEGRO has a fine engine, according to Ferdy Murphy, and is expected to put up a bold show on his debut. These obstacles could well rekindle the enthusiasm of Persian Waters, who ran well in decent company on the Flat.

2.55: Or Royal, who became a multiple offender when with Martin Pipe, was on his best behaviour to win at Wetherby three weeks ago, but his attitude remains under suspicion. Edredon Bleu took this prize last year but STRONG PROMISE is the class act. Heavy rain would undermine his prospects, however.

3.25: KATHRYN'S PET has won three races here - including the corresponding event 12 months ago - so it is no surprise to see that this hardy mare is back again following her win from 19 rivals at Newmarket. Cesarewitch seventh Nichol Fifty is the main threat.
