Tayseer: Looked a decent prospect last season but very lightly raced since. Best watched.

Cardigan Bay: Third to Brilliant Red at Newbury two outings ago. Seems to act on soft ground.

Brilliant Red: Quirky individual who was well beaten in the Cambridgeshire. May need 1m 2f.

Silk St John: Fine second to Silken Dalliance and then poorly drawn and unlucky when unplaced in the Cambridgeshire.

Crumpton Hill: Grand old handicapper who finishes strongly. Looks held by handicapper.

Migwar: Lightly raced nowadays and tailed off last time.

Consort: Comes to hand in the autumn and won this race last year. Second to Lear Spear in the Cambridgeshire and has claims.

Peartree House: Off since May and may be a bit ring-rusty.

Young Precedent: Front-runner who can be difficult to pass and is holding his form well.

Prince Babar: Landed a touch (8-1 to 5-1) over 7f here last time under a strong ride from Kieren Fallon. Should again run well.

Abajany: Has had busy campaign but running respectably.

Celestial Key: Long in the tooth and difficult to place nowadays.

Gulf Shaadi: Ran best race for a while when seventh in Cambridgeshire. Last of 30 since.

Diamond White: Changed stables before winning last month and improved again when third in Listed race here recently.

Mundo Raro: Fair form at a slightly lower level and open to further improvement.

Ally: Beat little when odds-on last time but earlier made Zante fight hard at Kempton. Lightly raced and from a top stable.

Therhea: Gutsy soft-ground specialist; third to Silken Dalliance and second to Roger Ross on last two outings. The more rain the better and must be thereabouts.

Raheen: Not disgraced behind Silken Dalliance but inconsistent.

Wild Sky: In fine fettle - fifth in the Cambridgeshire and third to Silken Dalliance on last two starts here. Each-way claims.

Delirious Moment: Fair fifth to Young Precedent at Leicester last time but needs to improve.

Nominator Lad: Cut little ice in the race won by Young Precedent at Leicester. More needed here.

Super Monarch: Has found form this autumn and a fluent winner over this course and distance. Up 9lb in the handicap for that effort.

Feel Free: Well placed to win three of last four starts. Interesting, but first run since August.

Radar: Won at Sandown in June but lightly raced since and should still be fresh. Could be suited by pace and conditions today.

Transylvania. Raced freely and weakened tamely at York latest effort. Needs to settle better.

Indium: Little show in last two starts. Rather in and out.

Yeast: Out of sorts before third to Super Monarch here recently. Could be on the way back.

Friendly Warning: 40-1 and well beaten here latest start.

Queens Pageant: Led on the line at York (7f) and should stay this extra furlong. More needed.

Toujours Riviera: Grand old servant but pretty well exposed.

CONCLUSION: RADAR could have everything in his favour and has had a lighter campaign than many of his rivals. He is just preferred to Consort and Super Monarch. Ally is unexposed.
