Racing: Richard Guest to appeal against two-day riding ban
Richard Guest is to appeal against a two-day riding ban meted out by the Wetherby stewards on Saturday. The local stewards decided that he had struck Ben Cruachan on the run-in "when clearly winning" the Thorp Arch Novices' Hurdle and the suspension is due to take effect on 16-17 December.
The Scottish trainer Len Lungo has announced he will be using the best jockeys available following the injury last week to first-choice rider Mark Dwyer. Dwyer suffered a broken left elbow following a fall at Kelso on Monday and will be out for some time.
