Racing: Virus appeal

Lord Carnarvon has launched a pounds 2m appeal to promote research into one of racing's most pressing problems, the equine herpes virus. The Queen's racing manager has written to more than 500 racehorse owners asking them to help fund the research programme for vaccines.
