Point-to-point: Quick to continue revival in Devon National

Five meetings, two today and three tomorrow, have been rescheduled following last weekend's snow.

There will obviously be a certain amount of duplication, but today's Eggesford at Upcott Cross, north Devon, looks assured of double-figure fields with eight races (220 entries), including yet another local National – a mixed open over four miles. The trip looks ideal for former smart hurdler Quick (2.45) now trained by former champion rider Ashley Farrant.

Third in the 2005 Pertemps Hurdle at Cheltenham, Quick ended up running in sellers, but has regained his enthusiasm judging by his defeat of Oracle Des Mottes, winner of two ladies' opens this spring, on his pointing debut at Cherrybrook last Sunday.

With Merry Vic likely to be aimed at hunter chases, Magnus Veritas (4.20) can follow up his Charing win at Catsfield tomorrow.
