Patrick Bernardini's faultless drive through the final night of the Monte Carlo Rally allowed him to secure his first win in the event yesterday. The Corsican, making only his second appearance in the winter classic, won with a comfortable margin of three minutes 44 seconds over France's Francois Delecour, second in a Peugeot 306. The pre-race favourite, Armin Schwarz of Germany, came third.
