Rallying: RAC Historic Rally - Humberside
Humberside hosts this year's Charringtons RAC Historic Rally, which will also take in parts of north Yorkshire and a visit to Cadwell Park. The event, which is for classic rally cars, has attracted entries from nine countries, including last year's winner, Jerry Larsson, of Sweden, in his 1965 Porsche 911. Watch out for Austin Healeys, Sunbeam Tigers and Mini Coopers. The rally starts and finishes in Hull.
Where to watch: Today: Scrutineering: Army Museum Beverley, 07.30-15.00. Start: Queen's Gardens, Hull city centre, first car off at 15.00. 1st stage: Dalby (via A170 at Thornton Dale, two miles east of Pickering; pounds 3 per car; first car 16.15). 4th: Cropton (via Cropton village, two miles west of Pickering; pounds 3 per car; 15.20). Return: Queen's Gardens (21.45). Tomorrow: 6th stage: Duncombe Park (via Helmsley; car parking pounds 5; 09.45). 7th: Cropton (as stage 4; 10.50). 8th: Gale Rigg (via Mauley Cross, four miles north of Pickering); pounds 3 per car; 11.20). 9 / 10th: Olivers Mount, Scarborough (off A64; pounds 2 per car charity donation; 12.45). 12th: Langdale (from Bickley, four miles west of Scarborough; 15.20). 13th: Dalby (as 3rd stage; 16.10). Return: Queen's Gardens (18.15). Sunday: Pursuit sprint: Cadwell Park circuit (off A153, four miles south-east of Louth, Lincs; pounds 7 adults, children free; 13.10). Finish: Queen's Gardens (15.15).
