Rugby League Round-Up: Bradford keep up chase

BRADFORD NORTHERN kept up their challenge to Warrington with a thrilling 13-11 win over Featherstone at Post Office Road yesterday. They led 12-8 at the interval with tries from Darrall Shelford and Dave Watson and two goals from Deryck Fox, then held their slim advantage with tremendous defensive work in the second period after Fox's 48th- minute drop goal.

The leaders, Warrington, never looked back in their comfortable 22-8 victory against Hull. They opened up with 10 points in as many minutes and led 20-2 at half-time. Lee Penny made tries for Kevin Ellis and Paul Darbyshire. A long-range move by Iestyn Harris and Rob Myler ended with Mark Forster's 100th try for the club.
