JEZ HARRIS, Leicester's experienced stand-off, was yesterday included in the England Emerging Players squad for the match against Spain in Elche on 6 February.

Harris, 27, has been with the Tigers for 12 years, and has caught the eye this season with 194 points after taking over as goalkicker from John Liley.

The match is the third of England's triple-header weekend, which starts with the Calcutta Cup game in Scotland on 5 February, while England A play Italy on the same day. All three teams will be announced on Sunday.

There is reward for Rob Kitchin, the Bristol scrum-half who has stood in during the last two months for England's Kyran Bracken. Bristol's coach, Brian Hanlon, said: 'Our club has the two best scrum-halves in the country in Kitchin and Bracken.'
