THE North scored two tries to earn a comfortable 18-8 victory over Canada A at Fylde yesterday.

Simon Mitchell and Alistair Saverimutto touched down for the North, Gerry Ainscough landing a conversion and kicking two penalty goals.

The tourists struck 10 minutes from the end when a floated pass from John Fletcher was intercepted by the wing Roy Wheeldon, who sprinted 70 yards for a try.
