TERRY PRICE, the big kicking full-back from Llanelli who went on to win Welsh caps in both rugby codes, died in a road accident in Oxfordshire on Wednesday night at the age of 47, writes Barrie Fairall.

In 1965 Price made his international debut against England in Cardiff, touringAustralia and New Zealand with the British Lions the following year. After winning his eighth cap for Wales in 1967, he signed for Bradford Northern for pounds 8,000. He played in five rugby league Tests for Wales and was capped once for Great Britain in Australia. His goal-kicking talents finally led him to American football and a contract with the Buffalo Bills.
