Borders supporters must continue their wait to see the Scotland international Gregor Townsend.

The stand-off misses today's friendly against Newcastle Falcons as is he recovering from the illness which ruled him out of the defeat by Ulster on Friday. But Clark Laidlaw is fit following a knee injury and will start in the No 10 jersey at Jed-Forest.

The Australia winger Ben Tune has been let off by an Australian anti-doping tribunal, but might still face disciplinary action. On Sunday the tribunal ruled that Tune, who faced suspension, had unknowingly taken the banned substance probenecid for a knee infection in March 2001.

But yesterday the game's ruling body, the International Rugby Board, asked the Australian Rugby Union to provide the "full facts of the case", which will be considered "as a matter of urgency".
