Armitage released by under-fire Irish

Steffon Armitage has been released from his London Irish contract and can therefore move to the French Top 14 club Toulon.

The Exiles have run into trouble in their efforts to sign a replacement: Leeds have filed a complaint to Premiership administrators accusing them of making an illegal approach to their Test back-rower Hendre Fourie.
