It’s a big game for...

Saracens: While normally it’s simple to pick out a player to which the game means so much to, this year’s final sees Saracens looking to emulate Leicester Tigers and Wasps by winning a domestic and European double. Having already secured the European Champions Cup after beating Racing Metro in Lyon earlier a fortnight ago, Saracens can win the double for the first time in history, as well as bagging their third Premiership title in five years.

Teams...

Saracens: Alex Goode; Chris Ashton, Duncan Taylor, Brad Barritt, Chris Wyles; Owen Farrell, Richard Wigglesworth; Mako Vunipola, Schalk Brits, Petrus Du Plessis; Maro Itoje, George Kruis; Michael Rhodes, Will Fraser, Billy Vunipola.

Replacements: Jamie George, Richard Barrington, Juan Figallo, Jim Hamilton, Jackson Wray, Neil De Kock, Charlie Hodgson, Marcelo Bosch.

Exeter: Phil Dollman; Jack Nowell, Henry Slade, Ian Whitten, Olly Woodburn; Gareth Steenson, Will Chudley; Ben Moon, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Harry Williams; Mitch Lees, Geoff Parling; Dave Ewers, Julian Salvi, Don Armand.

Replacements: Jack Yeandle, Alec Hepburn, Tomas Francis, Damian Welch, Kai Horstmann, Dave Lewis, Michele Campagnaro, James Short.

George Kruis will prove pivotal in Saracens' lineout (Premiership Rugby)

Best stat...

13 – The number of the Saracens side that will start the final for the 12th match this season. The reigning champions have relied on their continuity to generate success once again, having finished the regular season as table-toppers.

Remember when...

Saracens won their first title? Having suffered defeat the year before to Leicester Tigers, Sarries gained revenge in winning the 2010/11 final against the same opposition. The match saw two England fly-halves in Owen Farrell and Toby Flood go head to head, with James Short – now of Exeter – scoring a pivotal try. However, the match will be remembered for the onslaught Saracens faced after the clock hit 80 minutes, with Leicester going through 32 phases before conceding a penalty to spark wild celebrations.

Watch the highlights below...

It’s a big game for...

Henry Slade: Tipped as England’s starting outside centre for the Six Nations as the Eddie Jones era began, Slade suffered a broken leg to rule him out of the majority of the season. The utility back, who can play across 10, 12, 13 and 15, returned to action in March way ahead of schedule, and he has the chance now to show Jones why he has been built up so highly in what will be the biggest match of his career to date.
