Crockett set to sit out Bath's derby opener
"I had the operation last week and it went well. It was a routine, but it was better to get it out the way now rather than miss more games later in the season," the 23-year-old said. "At this stage it is looking as though I will miss the Bristol match. It is such a shame, because I was looking forward to playing in the derby."
Crockett, who missed the business end of last season with a hernia, is expected to play a key role at the Recreation Ground this term following the retirement of the Springbok centre Robbie Fleck.
