After England Women’s dismantling of France at Twickenham on Saturday, their head coach, Gary Street, has made 11 changes for tomorrow’s meeting with Canada as they prepare to return for the first time to the venue where they lost the 2010 World Cup final. The Stoop has unhappy memories for England’s players after their 13-10 defeat to New Zealand three years ago but, having already avenged February’s loss to France with a 40-20 win on Saturday, they now have the Canucks on their hit list.

Successive defeats in the summer tour to North America mean they cannot be taken lightly yet Street is confident England have the firepower. “We have freshened up our line-up with experienced players who were on the bench at the weekend,” he said. “This time around, however, we must put in an 80-minute performance, as that is not something we did on Saturday.”

England Women A Reed; L Thompson, A Chamberlain, R Burford, M Staniford; K McLean, N Hunt; C Purdy, V Fleetwood, S Hemming, T Taylor, M Burnfield, R Gallagher, H Packer, H Millar-Mills. Replacements E Croker, R Clarke, S Acheson, R Essex, M Alphonsi, L Mason, C Large, R Laybourn.
