Australia captain James Horwill feels huge disappointment following narrow loss to British and Irish Lions

Second-row says his side were right in it but admits that a lack of discipline cost them dear as the the Lions take a crucial 1-0 series lead

Australia will have been left frustrated as victory slipped through their fingers at the finish, but they can take plenty of confidence from a match in which they overcame injuries to Christian Leali'ifano, Berrick Barnes and substitute Pat McCabe to take the Lions to the wire.

"It's very disappointing," captain James Horwill said of the defeat. "We were right in it but ill-discipline at the end and a couple of little errors allowed them to get a leg-up.

"In the first half we didn't have a lot of the ball, but we made the most of what we had and we can take a lot of confidence out of that. In the end we need to be a bit more clinical and make the most of our opportunities.

"Our set-pieces were very good and I thought as the game went on we got better at scrum time. We've been working hard and done a lot of work on the scrums that gave us a shot at winning."
