The Italians battled bravely for over an hour before Horgan's well-taken 59th-minute effort tilted the balance in the Irish province's favour. But it was not until injury time that the visitors killed off Treviso's resistance when Ireland captain O'Driscoll sprinted over after a fine break by Denis Hickie. The visitors' other points came from the boot of fly-half David Holwell, making his Heineken Cup debut, while South African full-back Marius Goosen landed three penalties for Treviso.
