Round-Up: Wilkinson and Cohen celebrate return to form

Wilkinson, the fly-half whose drop goal clinched victory in the final, landed six penalties and four conversions as Newcastle hammered visitors Brive 51-19 in their Pool Four encounter. And powerhouse wing Cohen weighed in with a hat-trick of touchdowns yesterday in Northampton's 47-25 Pool One victory over Viadana.

In Pool Six, Worcester ran in five tries as they saw off Montpellier 36-18 at Sixways and Connacht chalked up twice that number in a 62-17 win over Catania in which the centre Keith Matthews crossed four times. Meanwhile, Stuart Moffat and Chalres Hore scored two tries apiece in Borders' 32-25 Pool Four success at L'Aquila.

Lawrence Dallaglio, another World Cup hero, continues his comeback from injury today when Wasps open their Heineken Cup campaign against Edinburgh at Murrayfield. Dallaglio's rival No 8 will be Simon Taylor. Both came home from the Lions tour of New Zealand almost before it began - Dallaglio with a broken ankle and Taylor with a hamstring injury.

For this Pool Six fixture, Wasps are without Fraser Waters, who has a recurrence of the ankle injury which sidelined him last season, the England flanker Joe Worsley and Ayoola Erinle, so Josh Lewsey continues at centre and John Hart returns to the back row.

In Pool Two, Perpignan edged to a 25-6 defeat of Calvisano in Italy.

Harlequins retained their two-point lead in National League One following a 70-5 romp against Exeter at the Stoop.
