World Cup diary: Oh brother, why art thou here?
Cilla Black and her Surprise Surprise team should decamp at Sydney airport today expecting a "tear-jerking" reunion when Jacob Rauluni arrives all the way from Rotherham to link up with his younger brother.
Jacob retired from inter-national rugby to stay with his fat contract - I mean his Zurich Premiership club - but had a change of heart and will answer Fiji's SOS to solve an injury crisis for Saturday's crunch match with Scotland. And with whom will Jacob be competing for the vacant scrum-half role? His brother, Moses. Family, who needs it?
Wallabies do their bit for the global game
Before England's match with Samoa every Australian paper - and I mean every Australian paper - referred to "South African-born Stuart Abbott". Fair enough, the Wasps centre hails from Cape Town. Yet those papers never refer to "Zambian-born George Gregan", "Fijian-born Lote Tuqiri", "South African-born Daniel Vickerman" or "Canadian-born Matt Dunning". Funny that.
There are some idealists left. Announcement over the tannoy at Sydney's biggest record store: "Could the person who said he wants a World In Union please come to the service counter."
