MICHAEL JORDAN, of the Chicago Bulls, told a court in North Carolina yesterday that a cheque for dollars 57,000 ( pounds 34,000) he wrote to an alleged drug dealer covered gambling losses from a weekend of golf and poker in South Carolina. He was testifying at the money laundering and drug trial of James 'Slim' Bouler, 41. Jordan admitted lying when he originally claimed the money was a personal loan.
