AUSTRALIA are to play three Tests and eight limited-overs internationals when they tour South Africa in 1994, their first official visit to the republic in 24 years.

BRUCE REID, the Australian fast bowler who is recovering from a shoulder operation, is aiming to win a place in the 17-man Australian squad for the England tour this year. The 30-year-old left armer continues his comeback today when he plays for a Western Australian X1 in a limited-overs match against the touring England A team at the WACA Ground in Perth.

JOEL GARNER, the 40-year-old former Somerset and West Indies fast bowler, has returned to the West Country to play for Glastonbury, of the Avco Somerset Premier League, this summer.
