DAVID SEWARD has resigned after five seasons as the secretary of Surrey County Cricket Club. A spokesman at The Oval stressed that the resignation was in no way connected with the three ball-tampering incidents for which the county were handed a suspended pounds 1,000 fine by the Test and County Cricket Board last week.
