CAROLINE ALEXANDER, the British mountain bike champion, has been fined pounds 1,000 by the British Cycling Federation's professional racing committee for allegedly breaking an agreement to ride in Raleigh's colours during the coming season. She was also ordered to pay Raleigh, who were her previous sponsors, pounds 1,000 in compensation.
