PATRIK ANDERSSON, the Swedish international defender, has completed his transfer from Malmo to Blackburn Rovers for pounds 800,000.

DAVID KOHLER, the Luton managing director, will today meet critics to discuss the club's problems. Three thousand people have signed a petition calling on Kohler to leave the club. They blame him for selling players which led to Luton's relegation last season.

KEVIN MORAN, the Blackburn centre- half, was cleared by Fifa to play in the Republic of Ireland's next World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland in two months. Moran, and not Niall Quinn, the real culprit, had been wrongly credited by Fifa with a booking against Denmark in October.

GORDON STRACHAN, the Leeds midfielder, may face a domestic ban following his dismissal in a friendly at Fiorentina on Wednesday. If the Italians follow Fifa regulations, a copy of the referee's report will be sent to the FA for them to take action against the Scot.

THE United States have federation confirmed the dates for the four-nation US Cup '93 tournament. England will play the US at Foxboro, Massachusetts on 9 June and Brazil in Washington on 12 June. England's final game will be against Germany at the Pontiac Silverdome outside Detroit on 19 June - the first major international to be played indoors on grass. The US will open the tournament against Brazil at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Connecticut, on 6 June. Brazil meet Germany on 10 June and the US play Germany on 13 June, both at venues to be announced.
