STRONG westerly winds were reported by Robin Knox-Johnston, co-skipper of the 85ft catamaran Enza, as she covered 378 miles on the 17th day of her bid to sail round the world in 80 days. France's Bruno Peyron in Commodore Explorer made even better speed, averaging 18 knots and maintaining a 200-mile lead.
