A RECORD 39 countries will take part in the World Team Championships' European qualifying round, starting today in Glasgow. It is the first time the men's Thomas Cup and the women's Uber Cup competitions have been held in Britain. The stronger teams, including England and Scotland, will join the fray at the second stage on Wednesday.
