WASIM AKRAM equalled Kapil Dev's world record limited-overs international wickets tally of 251 as Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in the fourth one-day international in Colombo yesterday. Sri Lanka were put in to bat in overcast conditions and struggled to 174 for 9 off 50 overs. Pakistan were always in control as they coasted to victory with more than eight overs to spare. Wasim took 2 for 35 as Pakistan won by five wickets to take a 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

ONE-DAY INTERNATIONAL (Colombo): Sri Lanka 174 for 9 (50 overs); Pakistan 175 for 5 (41.4 overs). Pakistan won by 5 wickets.
