THE national track championships at Leicester from 24 to 31 July will be 'open' in line with new international rules merging professional and amateur men's races at the world championships. The 1996 Olympic road race in Atlanta has already been opened to leading professionals like Miguel Indurain, twice winner of the Tour de France.
