Dundee United have handed a two-year contract to the Greek midfielder Anastasios Venetis, who joined the club on a short-term deal earlier this season.

Cagliari, last in Italy's Serie A, have fired their coach Oscar Washington Tabarez after just four games of the season and replaced him with Renzo Ulivieri, who was in charge of the Sardinian side in the 1980s.
