CHRIS HALL, the British club professional champion, was the odd man out at Pals, Spain, in a four-man play-off for the three remaining vacancies at the PGA European Tour qualifying school. Hall, Bulwell Forest's PGA Cup player, drove into the trees at the first extra hole and took a double-bogey, allowing fellow Englishman Mark Parker (bogey), France's Quentin Dabson (bogey) and Sweden's Daniel Chopra (par) to progress from the final pre-qualifying competition. The quartet had finished the regulation 54 holes tied on a two-over-par score of 221.
