Sporting Digest: Ice Skating
STEVEN COUSINS, the British champion, secured his first major international medal when he won the bronze at the Skate Canada competition in Ottawa on Saturday. Kurt Browning, the Canadian world champion, won the gold medal ahead of the United States' Mark Mitchell but Cousins, showing marked improvement, skated brilliantly to finish second in the short programme and fourth in the long.
