Sporting Digest: Motor Racing
STIRLING MOSS, John Surtees and Sir Jack Brabham were among 100 invited drivers to compete in the Champagne Charles Heidsieck Festival of Speed at Goodwood yesterday. The Formula One driver, Martin Brundle, set the fastest time averaging almost 90mph up the 1.16-mile course in a McLaren-Peugeot. Mike Wilds broke a leg when he lost control of the Ferrari Formula One car he was demonstrating.
