FINLAND'S Tommi Makinen joined rallying's hall of fame by winning the event the top drivers most want to win, the 1,000 Lakes Rally, yesterday. The 30-year-old farmer dominated the eighth round of the world championship, withstanding intense pressure to record his first major success.
