Bath, the European champions, will play two pre-season friendlies in France against Perigueux on the 15 August and Dax on 18 August.

Cardiff face the prospect of being thrown out of the Welsh Rugby Union after a High Court ruling that they can be expelled for refusing to sign a 10-year agreement with the WRU, which wants all its Premier Division clubs to pledge their loyalty to the Union.
