Sporting Digest: Rugby Union

STUART EVANS, the former Wales prop, is to take the International Rugby Board to court in an effort to be reinstated as a rugby union player. Evans, now 31, joined St Helens rugby league club from Neath in 1987. He left them more than two years ago, but has since been banned from returning to union.
