LEICESTER will start work on a pounds 2m, 3,000-seat stand and a pounds 400,000 clubhouse extension at their Welford Road ground next April and hope to complete work by October. The stand, which includes 24 hospitality boxes, restaurant and bar facilities, will increase ground capacity to 17,000 and is the first step of an pounds 8m, 10-year plan to turn Welford Road into a 20,000 capacity stadium.
