A US district judge yesterday granted Tonya Harding's request for a temporary restraining order blocking today's hearing by the US Figure Skating Association into her alleged involvement in the January attack on her American rival, Nancy Kerrigan. If she had been found guilty of breaching the federation's ethics, she could have been stripped of her US title and prevented from going to the World Championships in Tokyo this month. Kerrigan, who recovered from the assault to take an Olympic silver medal in Lillehammer, is not competing in Tokyo.
