Sports Letter: Gaelic groan
Sir: Further to the recent letters on this page, I too would like to add my voice to those bemoaning the lack of coverage on national TV of the excellent and exciting game that is Australian Rules Football.
However, I would like to point out its poor coverage of another equally exciting game much closer to home, and the game from which Australian Rules originated, namely Gaelic Football. This game, which is of interest to a significant proportion of the population, is, by and large, completely ignored by the media apart from Channel Four.
Yours, BRIAN McHALE London W2 20 October
