Sports Letters: Aussie Rules, ok

Sir: I would like to express my appreciation of the Independent's photograph (and article) of the Australian Rules Grand Premier Final. Also your enterprise in keeping we Pommie 'footy' fans up to date with 'Oz' results in the past season.

The British Australian Rules League has been in successful existence for five years, encouraged initially by Channel Four's TV coverage. Sadly this has disappeared, along with Sky Sport's timid flirtation with the game]

Perhaps, with your continued support, these two TV stations, or should we call them 'spoil-sports', will soon restore this toughest, all- action game to our living rooms.
