There is plenty of British interest with Eamon Martin defending the men's title. He faces stiff opposition in the Kenyan Douglas Wakiihuri, who won the race in 1998, and Juma Ikaanga of Tanzania. The 1993 winner Katrin Dorre, of Germany, heads the women's field, which also includes Lisa Ondiecki and the Ukrainian Tatiana Djabrailova.
The finish has been changed this year with the runners finishing in The Mall rather than on Westminster Bridge.
