Sports Listings: This Weekend / Golf: Alfred Dunhill Cup, St Andrews

Eight nations have been invited and eight have had to qualify for the Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews, in which competition has taken on a round-robin format in four groups. The group winners go into the semi-finals and final on Sunday. Zimbabwe, who in previous years have had to qualify, are the top seeds, based on the team's combined world rankings, and are in group one, which also includes Ireland. England, the champions, led by Nick Faldo, meet Taiwan today, followed by South Africa tomorrow in their group. In group three, Scotland, the third seeds, have some formidable opposition in the United States, represented by Fred Couples, Payne Stewart and John Daly, and Wales' Ian Woosnam, Mark Mouland and Paul Mayo.
